Samantha Gluck began her freelance copywriting and journalism career at the delicate age of 12. Her father, an entrepreneur himself, taught her how to write copy and newspaper ads for his thriving south Texas jewelry business. She learned about the copywriter’s ‘call to action’, while most kids her age were playing Pac-Man and Frogger at the local pizza parlor.
From that time on, people always asked her share her skills and love of wordsmithing to their pet projects that involved writing. With university degrees in Finance and microbiology, this former research nurse naturally gravitated toward the science and health care niches in business. Throughout her varied professional life – research nurse, pharmaceutical rep, information technology consultant – she always earned money writing copy and news stories on the side.
In January 2010, with the support of significant people in her life, Gluck left the corporate jungle for good to pursue freelance copywriting and journalism full-time. She runs her business, All Media Freelance, LLC, from the suburban paradise of Spring, just outside of Houston, Texas.
A card-carrying member of the Association of Health Care Journalists, Gluck’s work is featured in news and media publications all over the US and in the UK.
